Mike Flynn, National Security Advisor

Joined in chants of “Lock her up” at the RNC

has called President Obama “a liar” and troubled some former colleagues with his partisan political work

Jeff Sessions, Attorney General

Accusations of racism have followed him through his career. He was even denied a federal judgeship due to it.

He is bad news for civil rights

He is also bad news for immigration, he has opposed any immigration bill with a path to citizenship. He has even fought legal immigration, guest worker programs and visa programs [even for people in science, math, and tech]

Actual awful quote (bolding mine)

“What we need now is immigration moderation: slowing the pace of new arrivals […] and the forces of assimilation can knit us all more closely together.”

Voted against a bill that banned “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment of prisoners.”

Ahh, on climate change:

“Carbon pollution is CO2, and that’s really not a pollutant; that’s a plant food, and it doesn’t harm anybody except that it might include temperature increases.”

Southern Poverty Law Center’s Heidi Beirich, who tracks hate speech, said Sessions is guilty of it, and that his mere presence in Trump’s inner circle is “a tragedy for American politics.” [Source]

Stephen Bannon, chief policy advisor

Chief white nationalist

The summary: Bannon is a white supremacist, anti-semite, misogynist and he should be no where near the White House.

Bannon was the former executive chairman of Breitbart “News.”

First, Breitbart

A conservative news site aimed at white nationalists.

Some prime headline examples:

The solution to online ‘harassment’ is simple: Women should log off

Bill Kristol: Republican spoiler, renegade Jew

Hoist it high and proud: The Confederate flag proclaims a glorious heritage

“Would you rather your child had feminism or cancer?”

More here, and here

Even Glenn Beck doesn’t like the guy

Bannon calls himself a leader of the alt-right. The alt-right is just a new more ‘acceptable’ name for white supremacist. White nationalist groups are thrilled at the appointment, and really anything that thrills them should make the rest of us wary.

Southern Poverty Law Center described Bannon as being on the ‘extremist fringe’

By the way SPLC is an organization that tracks hate groups and hate crimes. This is what they said about the alt-right,

a loose set of far-right ideologies at the core of which is a belief that ‘white identity’ is under attack through policies prioritizing multiculturalism, political correctness and social justice and must be preserved, usually through white-identified online communities and physical ethno-states.

Consider calling your representative to denounce Bannon, and demand his removal.
